The adventurous story begins with a tale of a tragic attack by a band of evil poachers upon a group of innocent gorillas. The attack is made, by none other than , Mr. Harry B. Richborne, the evil poacher! The ape family is tragically killed!… all but six young ape siblings, who are now orphaned and left to make it on their own.

For days the orphaned apes wonder aimlessly deeper and deeper into the Great Congo jungle. Depression, along with hunger and exhaustion, left the young apes nearly dead. But fortunately they are found by a wise old African bushman named, Mogadishu.

Desperate to save the apes from certain death, Mogadishu gives them an ancient African serum, which works, but not the way Mogadishu had intended. Right before the very wise eyes of Mogadishu, the once sick primates changed and transformed in ways unimaginable… the recovery is nothing less than miraculous. No!… these Apes will never be the same!

Only but a stone's throw from death himself, the weary old bushman commissions the great gorillas, whom he names: Morocco, Algeria, Angola, Zaire, Zambia and Libya… (countries of the continent, Africa) the Avenging Apes of Africa!... with a great task! In his final words, Mogadishu proclaims, "Go forth my great gorillas"… into every corner of the earth, protect and defend all animals of the world so that the same fate that befell you will not befall others… Maramojo my MarConeys… Maramojo!". Mogadishu then quietly, but proudly, dies.

Shortly thereafter, the Avenging Apes of Africa are befriended by two warm-hearted American explorers, Blake Howard, Justin Lee, and an African prince named, Boa. The Avenging Apes of Africa and their new friends, called the African Posse span the globe aboard the "Mighty O'Hara" piloted by Jack Wright and his side kick, Hank, the spider monkey, in their never ending quest to protect and defend all animals of the world!!! Thus begins their "Monkey Mission!" Go Go Gorillas Go!"
